Erin has financial, operational and strategic planning experience working as an independent consultant advising clients from early stage ventures to mature mid-market companies. Prior to that, he spent several years working in crisis management and corporate turnaround services, service as advisor to, or directly on, executive management teams across several industries. Erin has a BSBA, a BA in Economics and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Jon is a business executive with a wide breadth of experience across several technology industries. Jon has held a variety of executive roles within smaller private firms to fortune 150 companies. He has built and led global multi-million dollar business units from ground up, the strategic management of M&A teams and the formation of multiple global accounts. Throughout Jon’s career he has excelled at building and mentoring teams that are highly focused on producing value for customers, partners, and investors, while identifying untapped market opportunities and driving significant top and bottom line revenue growth. Jon holds his BS in Engineering, MBA in Global Management and is a graduate from several Executive Programs such as the Emerson Executive Leadership Program.
DR. MICHAEL ESCUTI
Chief Technology Officer / Co-Founder
Michael is a leading liquid crystal and photonics expert pioneering the development of polarization gratings, geometric phase holograms, and devices/systems using them. As Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at North Carolina State University, he pursues interdisciplinary research topics in opto-electronics, telecom, flat-panel displays, and well beyond. He has been recognized by the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE, 2011) and the Alcoa Foundation Engineering Research Achievement Award (2011) for his work at NCSU. He earned his PhD and MS degrees at Brown University and completed a Post-Doc at the Eindhoven University of Technology (Netherlands). As of February 2015, he is a named inventor on 21 issued and 52 pending patents. He has published more than 108 refereed journal and conference publications, has presented 30 invited research talks, and has co-authored 1 book chapter. He has also served as expert witness in patent litigation before the US Patent & Trademark Office and US International Trade Commission.
Senior Sales Engineer / Co-Founder
Jason is a results-oriented leader in the optics field with more than 20 years hands-on experience developing advanced optical system architectures and products at IBM, Lucent Technologies, LightSpin Technologies and ImagineOptix. He helped create the HoloBright™ concept out of a desire to enable a large, low cost display image not available with todays portables like PDAs, gaming, cell phones, and iPod™ devices. Jason received his BSEE from Clemson University and his MS in Optical Sciences from The University of Arizona. He holds one U.S. patent with one pending and is also a member of both the OSA and the SPIE, as well as a member of the IEEE.
Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Allan is a photonics industry veteran who leads client development, sales and marketing initiatives at ImagineOptix. He previously served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Digital Optics, prior to its successful sale to Xperi, a publicly-traded Silicon Valley company that develops and licenses technology to the semiconductor and mobile markets. While at Xperi, Allan helped launch an optics licensing program for the mobile camera market. He also lead business development at Pelican Imaging a venture-backed start-up with disruptive camera technology for the smartphone market. Allan earned his B.S. degree in Physics at Rhodes College and his PhD. In Optics from Duke University.
Director of Product Development
Steve Robbins is an innovative problem solver with over three decades of experience in Augmented Reality. Steve has helped develop over ten AR systems, including two versions of HoloLens. He comes to ImagineOptix after eight years at Microsoft, where he worked in various roles from display and test architect to a director of optical engineering. Robbins, a Bristol England native who moved to the US in 2001, has over 55 granted or in-process patents covering a broad array of optics including projection optics, eye trackers, display engines and waveguide mechanisms. His prior experience includes optical engineering R&D in the aerospace and defense industries for BAE SYSTEMS, Rockwell Collins and GEC-Marconi.
